About
Preserving the Hungarian nameday tradition with modern technology.
Mission
Nameday is a beautiful, centuries-old Hungarian tradition — every day of the year is associated with one or more names that families and friends celebrate. In the digital age it's easy to forget.
NévnapTárX was built with one simple goal: prevent that. The current calendar indexes namedays for 1347 distinct name forms and includes short meaning entries for 794 names. The iOS and Android apps can also provide daily reminders.

Nameday dates are traditional rather than official records, and calendars can differ. The Hungarian database and methodology page documents scope, limitations, review and primary references.
